Uniforms are Only Part of it

Leaders are only part of the team that make the group work. Support from the parents is essential to have a successful group. Parents can help by coming along to a night or a camp (provided they have a current Working with Children Card).

For those that want to be involved more you are always welcome to join the Group committee.

​

The Group Support Committee is generally comprised of the parents of current youth members, and the Group Leader. The Committee and group leader are responsible for:

• The financial management of the Group

• Maintenance of the Groups resources; making sure that sufficient resources are available for the section leaders to provide quality programs for our youth members

• Identifying new section leaders, should vacancies arise.

The Committee administers the collection of fees on behalf of the Group and Scouts Victoria, coordinates fundraising activities, manages hall hire, and is responsible for the purchase of whole-of-group materials and assets. The Committee must also prepare audited financial reports for presentation to the Scouts Victoria following the end of each financial year. The Committee is elected annually by parents and community members who have an interest in the Group. Current members of the Committee are:
